Joys Of Homeschooling

Liberty and Erik in Ruby's bed reading some biographies
Recently, I had someone asking me questions about homeschooling. She was thinking about homeschooling her children. She asked, "Wouldn't it be much easier to send them to public school?"
Of Course it would be easier! We are not called to do what is easy.
I would be home with Liberty, who takes a 2 1/2 hour nap every day.
I would miss seeing what they are learning,
I would have 5 children in 4 different schools (that does not sound easier),
I would still have to help with homework and make sure the work got done,
I would not get to take a field trip whenever we wanted,
I would not get to snuggle in front of the fire with my 5 year old and watch as she is learning how to read,
I would not get to listen to the creative play and sibling relationships that are so endearing.

Guess, I just needed to convince myself that it IS worth it. I know it is, and I know I am not called to do what is easy, rather what is Right.

I agree with you it would bea easier but GOD blessed us with our babies to care for and to make sure they are well taken care of NOT to hand over to others to care for them.

Dear Jesus, I'm so thankful you put blogs in my path at just the right time!!!

I'm hopeful there will be a time to sit and write a blog or sit and coffee with you and Mrs Overstreet and talk to you ladies about my time this year serving my community by being PTA VP. You read that right!! :)

Talk about checks in my spirit about being obedient to the calling to homeschool!!!!!!!
